I’ve heard the expression ‘Stop being so dramatic” my whole life, but only now, at the culturally relevant age of 34, am I ready to address it and face these drama queen allegations head-on. Please join me, Chris Parker, for an hour of high-intensity, feverishly paced and dizzyingly expressive comedy. Sure, I’ve cried in every speech I’ve ever had to deliver publicly, and yes, there may have been a situation this year where I slept on my neck weirdly and bought myself an unnecessary neck brace. Still, I’m desperate to prove that I’m really chill and down to earth. So, what better way to get you to understand that than with a one-man variety hour spectacle chill stand-up comedy hour?
Building on this momentum, 2024 saw Chris host the New Zealand Comedy Festival Galas, tour his latest show, Give Me One Good Reason Why I Shouldn't Throw My Phone Off This Bridge, to full houses throughout Australia and New Zealand, make his prime-time Australian TV debut on Thank God You’re Here (where he won the episode), and release the highly anticipated second season of Double Parked.
NZ Herald - “By the time the show ends, you will have sore sides from laughing”***** - Time Out "Chris Parker is the real deal, a brilliant comedian who will leave you scream-laughing”

Thank you for reading my blurb. I have told over a thousand jokes and received countless rounds of applause and bouts of laughter. Not to mention the smiles I’ve procured. I hope you attend this festival and I hope that of all the shows in the festival, you choose to attend my show. That would mean the world to me. And by the way, the show’s going to be fantastic. Everyone is telling me that this is gonna be my year and I am feeling very optimistic about how it’s going to go. I have appeared on the TV show Taskmaster New Zealand and was once asked to be in a movie (I found the movie’s concept to be disgusting so I didn’t respond to the email). Have a great festival, Paul.

"As a comedian I’m a passionate defender of free speech, unless that free speech is used to mildly criticize the obviously bad things that I’m saying, in which case it's cancel culture and now I’m the victim. I would also like to take this opportunity to say that it’s important to think about my mental health."
Nominated for “Most Outstanding Show” at the 2023 Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Becky Lucas 'Things Have Changed, But The Essence Remains'
Thursday

My name is Becky Lucas and this is the blurb for my stand up comedy show. I am the only female Australian comedian to have performed on the Conan O’Brien show in the US, I’ve hosted the MICF gala, I’ve performed my solo show at the Sydney Opera house and written my very own book called 'Acknowledgements'.
The thing is, I’ve listed my credits here for almost ten years and to be honest, I’m not even sure if anyone has ever read them. I don’t want to include quotes from newspapers about how funny I am because who cares?
Bron Lewis 'Who's Talking?!'
Thursday

Ever wanted to know what your high school teacher actually thought of you? Or whether she believed your excuses? Or what she wanted to say to the Year 8 boy who refused to leave the class? Well, you’re going to want to see this show. Before Bron Lewis was one of Australia’s most promising new comedians, she was a high school teacher for almost a decade. It was an era where she both nurtured young hearts, encouraged kids to be brilliant, but she also made some lifelong enemies. You’ll hear more about them this show than the nerds.
Bron became a teacher because she hates learning - she would rather saw off her own legs then learn a new card game, and in her opinion, who ever coined the term ‘board game’ was bang on. Bron raises the question: what happens when someone tries to avoid learning at all costs? They teach. Sit down, and get ready to learn.

"This is the official bio for my brand new show You Paid for This. Not to be confused with any of the fakes ones out there. I had to write this bio myself, which really threw my morning plans. I thought coming up with the title was the hard part, but writing a 150 word biography about a comedy show I haven’t performed yet is really hard. It’s called You Paid for This, and yes, I’m aware you likely haven’t actually paid yet. It’s what we call in the biz “presumptive selling”. A bold, but risky move. The show does what the title suggests, presuming you buy a ticket. I can’t promise much beyond an hour of jokes, sponsored by you. You haven’t paid yet, but we both know it’s only a matter of time. See you there!
