ABOUT ARTIST
Since releasing her debut solo EP, 'The Piss, The Perfume', in 2020, led by its dancable rock title track and radio favourite, 'Like A Woman Should' (recently featured on Netflix series 'Maid'), Hayley Mary refused to allow pandemic to deter her from establishing her solo career in the field of anthemic, thought provoking rock. Drawing from genres such as Motown, punk, new-wave, Brit-pop, Americana, and Australian pub rock, her sophomore EP, 'The Drip' (2021) receive critical acclaim for it's lyrically driven upbeat title track and singles, 'The Chain', 'Young & Stupid and 'Would You Throw A Diamond?', another radio favourite.
Along with Hayley's Like A Version cover of Lana Del Rey's 'Chemtrails Over the Country Club' it proved that the singer, known as the formidable front woman of brooding indie band The Jezabels, holds her own as a solo artist and performer. With no plans of stopping her momentum, Hayley dropped a surprise third EP at the end of 2021. 'Fall In Love' boasts her catchiest single yet and the EP solidifies Hayley as an artist whose strengths lay in classic songwriting, thoughtful contemporary lyricism and soulful singing amidst a gutsy wall of sound oozing with swagger and authenticity.
