The National

The National have recently dropped a new release ‘Laugh Track’, the surprise second half of a double album which began with ‘First Two Pages Of Frankenstein’ released in April 2023. The sibling records mark albums nine and ten for The National and are a continuing testament to the more than two decades the band have delivered us songs of immense pathos and beauty. 

Their lengthy career has led to extraordinary success, including winning a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album for 2017’s ‘Sleep Well Beast’, headlining festivals around the world, offered up classic songs including ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’, ‘Mr November’, ‘Fake Empire’ and ‘I Need My Girl’, and working with countless culture-defining artists including collaborations with Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift, and Sufjan Stevens.
