ABOUT

The award-winning Guy Montgomery is a multi-tasking stand-up comedian, podcaster, improviser, and Kiwi. With every year, Guy is just getting better. The winner of the Sydney Comedy Festival’s Best of the Fest award in 2023, he also picked up the New Zealand International Comedy Festival’s Fred Award for Best Show the same year.
His appearances on Ten’s Thank God You're Here, Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Project, and YouTube have brought Guy a legion of new fans in Australia, and they just can’t get enough. 2023 has been a bumper year for Guy in the world of comedy. His highly anticipated TV series, Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee premiered on Three in New Zealand; his 2022 solo show Guy Montgomery By Name, Guy Montgomery By Nature is streaming on Paramount+. And he simultaneously sold-out tours around Australia and New Zealand of the live version of Spelling Bee and his stand-up show, My Brain is Blowing Me Crazy.
All this, with a stellar back catalogue, including winning the NZ Comedy Guild’s Best Male Comedian award four times (2017, 2020, 2021 and 2022), appearances on Comedy Central US, sold-out runs at Just For Laughs in Montreal, Edinburgh Fringe and MICF, and touring his hugely successful podcast The Worst Idea of All Time.
