ABOUT ARTIST

CIVIC is a five-piece band from Melbourne, formed in 2018, brought together by their shared passion for tightly coiled riffs and a collective musical ethos. They released their first EP, "New Vietnam," which quickly became an underground hit, selling out several pressings worldwide. Known for their intense live performances, their New Vietnam launch became a legendary moment within the Melbourne music scene.

Led by the captivating stage presence of McCullough, the band gained momentum and achieved several milestones, including sold-out 7-inch records, a European tour, a spot at the Golden Plains Festival, and signing with Flightless Records. Punk icon Henry Rollins praised them, highlighting their impressive catalog.

Building on their success, they recorded their album "Future Forecast" in various locations across Victoria, paying homage to classic sounds while infusing avant-garde elements. The album features raw, searing guitars, pummeling rhythms, driving bass, and versatile vocals that synergize with their wall of sound. The tracks showcase a range of styles, from the horn-fueled drive of "Radiant Eye" to the power-pop hooks of "As Seen On TV" and the emotively atmospheric "Sunday Best." The album concludes with the dynamic "Come To Know," ending with tightly wound feedback and groove.
